I’m Shiri Wijnhoven (2003, the Netherlands) and I graduated in 2025 from ArtEZ Arnhem, graphic design. I always had an interest in creativity and have been creatively making and creating ever since. In the years I studied graphic design I gained an interest in sustainability, craft and nature. I learnt to crochet and knit during my first year at ArtEZ, and I have been exploring its possibilities ever since. Often combining handmade techniques with sustainable practices, I view secondhand materials as carriers of stories that are ready to be transformed into something new.

I’m drawn to hands-on experimentation and enjoy learning by making. I like to master the basics of a skill before pushing its boundaries in my own way. My preference is to work analogue because I think I can express myself best in that way and then combining it with the digital.

Other interests I have are bookmaking, photography, bookbinding, and typography but I embrace new tools and techniques as opportunities for exploration.

If I had to describe my style now, it is expressive and colourful. As a person I am shy and modest, but my work allows me to really express myself.  I’m a hard worker and very excited to learn new things about graphic design and beyond.
