Over By Christmas
Archive book including pictures from the Imperial War Museum. I was given a database of war pictures and decided to look for the hopeful pictures instead of focussing on the horrific photographs. I wanted to show that even in times of war, hope can be still present and there can also still be a little bit of fun. I searched for pictures that had somehow to do with this and found some really wonderful pictures made around the time of Christmas. I sorted them into categories like “preparing for Christmas”, “presents” and “Christmas dinner”. I also found some postcards related to Christmas that I put randomly throughout the book. Some pictures also included a back which had the date and a small description of what was on the picture.
